Frequently Asked Questions About Network Marketing

Since there are many other questions that will be asked in your career, I highly recommend that every network marketer connect with a leader or in the Social Impacter Community, and talk about the typically asked questions and how to answer them.

Those who learn how to answer them will succeed in business.

What is Network Marketing?

In the simplest of explanations, it is a distribution model. That’s it. Instead of products being sold to wholesalers, companies have independent sales forces to sell the products through relationship marketing and/or word of mouth. In many cases, this allows products to be sold at a lower cost to consumers and distributors are paid compensation its sale.

What do Network Marketers Sell?

Most network marketing companies focus on consumable products. This includes;

  1. health and nutrition products
  2. cosmetics and hair care
  3. cleaning products

Since these are the most common items purchased, selling them becomes can be more profitable than others.  Primarily, because they are consumable. As a result, customers and distributors use up the products each month and then need to place a new order.

This creates residual income.

With hundreds of companies out there — this is one of the hardest frequently asked questions about network marketing to encompass. However, chances are there is a company out there for just about everything!

Do you Need to be Great at Sales?

Do you enjoy sales?

If you don’t that’s totally OK! Because, you don’t have to be a salesperson in order to succeed in this industry. Really, this is a business of sharing information. And, there are great resources and tools that will help you present your products and/or services to your prospects.

Now, if you like sales, that’s also great news!

People who are good at sales often do very well in this business as well, just have a different approach.

Can I Work this Business Part-Time?

In terms of time spent, that depends upon your goals. If your goal is to earn a few dollars a month, you could probably invest five hours a week or less. However, if you want to develop a full-time income, then you’ll need to invest at least 35+ hours a week initially. After all, you are looking to create full-time income, right?

The great part is that there are resources and systems to help you leverage time spent. Additionally, that number of hours will start to decrease as your organization grows and your machine is well oiled.

Truth is however, of the 50 million people involved in the network marketing space, the majority are part-time and it works just fine for them. This, is probably one of the most frequently asked questions about network marketing. I believe this to be as a result of people/families, just looking for that little bit extra.

Can I Build More than 1 Business at a Time?

Well, I’m sure you ‘could’ but I would never recommend you do that. Building one business can be challenging enough — let alone confusing your prospects and customers about where your focus is. Stick to one and crush it. If anything, learn to become a preferred or VIP customer with other companies you enjoy.

Lastly, I hope you found this post helpful. As with anything, individual results will vary. You can increase your chances of success by finding a mentor or community to support you, learning from your mistakes, and following through with what you set out to do!
