Facebook Live for Beginners

Facebook Live for Beginners | Network Marketing Focus

If you are in the network marketing space, this blog is for you. I work with tons of clients who are looking to take their business to the next level. And, one of my first questions to them is ‘are you using video?’ The answer to often was, ‘no’. Additionally what was interesting is that it was almost always 2 reasons they haven’t; fear and unsure what to say. So, I created a Facebook Live for Beginners course (free) to help them (and you!) level up!

Previously, we have shared some stats about the viewership when it comes to videos. This may surprised you but video content is viewed 10X more than any other type!

The Facebook Live for Beginners course will literally take you A-Z in how to product great content for your Live videos.

But first, let me share some key things with you to help get you started.

Facebook Live for Beginners

(This video is a little throwback for you … but JUST as effective)

Think about this; there is no where else that you can just tap a button and get your face in front of tens, hundreds even thousands of people. Although other platforms are making their way through the live channel outlets, like IG TV, this should tell you something.

It should tell you that… live video is powerful.

And, a train you want to hop on (and soon!)

Building your confidence will help you work through the fear. ‘Feel the fear and do it anyway’ is one of the most rewarding feelings once you’ve overcome it. And, like anything the more you do it the easier it will become. So, here are a few things you can do to work on your confidence;

  1. Positive self-talk — out loud. It will feel funny at first, but practice it daily.
  2. Feed your mind with positive, uplifting things. Focus on your environment.
  3. Write down your strengths — these are what you should be focusing on.
  4. Take note of all you have overcome and accomplished thus far — you got this!

Naturally, building your confidence will be an ongoing process and that’s OK! The time is going to pass anyways so why not fill your time with amazing things.

The Facebook Live for Beginners Course (that you can grab here) will take you through it all step-by-step. Consider it your bestie supporting you and rooting you on.

Quickly I want to touch on content.

This is probably the second objection when it comes to creating Live video.

What am I even going to talk about?!‘ Sound familiar?

Here are some ideas to help jog your content block and help push you into creating consistent and valuable content;

  1. Newsletters
  2. Newspapers
  3. Emails
  4. Books
  5. Articles
  6. Social Media posts/videos
  7. YouTube
  8. Blogs/websites
  9. Events/activities
  10. Podcasts/radio

… and the list goes on. People want to hear your thoughts and opinions. As humans, we’re naturally curious to know what others are up to, right? Live video gives you a platform to be YOU, share your life and your expertise.

Use the article, blog or podcast to reference in your video. This shows people you are knowledgable, you research topics, etc. and then you help break it down and offer perspective to others.

Content is everywhere! Grab some, digest it and share it with others!
