Adopting an Attitude of Gratitude is Vital in Business
One of the greatest ways to find success in your network marketing business is through gratitude. Unfortunately, this is one of the main things marketers forget or leave out. To some degree, marketers end up so focused on the results (or lack thereof) and they miss the beauty in the process. In our opinion, adopting an attitude of gratitude is imperative to your success.
How can an Attitude of Gratitude help your Business?
Gratitude changes who you are for the better.
It is not mystical or hype even, it’s actually science. You see, a positive attitude changes the energy around you. It helps you interact with others better and as we know our interactions and relationships are the golden part of our industry. Even in the worst circumstances, there is always something to be grateful for.
Focusing on the good in things will help lessen the impact of the bad when they occur.
When you are able to zone in on finding the silver lining and/or attitude of gratitude life just gets better. Period. Better days make more productive days, productive days mean building a strong, better team, attaining more customers and prospects, and earning larger cheques.
Think of how culture translates through your team. They will do what you do.
An attitude of gratitude is infectious and something you hope others around you will catch!
‘Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.’ Brian Tracy
Adopting gratitude throughout your life and through your business, will drastically change the outcome. Although there is a ton of conversation around personal development and getting your mind right … there simply is too much talk and not enough action. You, can change that.
Primary Ways to Adopt an Attitude of Gratitude
Look for the Good
By reframing a negative situation as an opportunity to learn something new, it can change the way that you experience the world. When we become more conscious of learning lessons instead of a woe is me mentality … situations become easier to manage. And, over time it will become easier to get back up again.
Think of someone in your life who complains all the time. Focus on how you feel after being around them for any length of time. Chances are, you feel exhausted, perhaps low on yourself even more irritable. Don’t be that person for others. Focus on the good and lifting others up with this focus.
Write down the things you are Grateful for
Find a handful of things every day to jot down. This may be in a journal or simply on a notepad somewhere around your home or office. This, is a great place and way to start your day or, end your day. And, there is no right or wrong answer here. You see, being grateful isn’t specific to personal or business — it’s simply an emotion or feeling that elicits positive responses to both your mind and body.
Additionally, if a name finds its way to your list, say a friend, teammate or family member — tell them. Go that extra step and left them know you are grateful for them.
Surround yourself with Good People
‘You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with, including yourself’, Jim Rohn. We have spoken before about taking an audit of your circle. If you are seeing a plateau in your business or are left feeling stagnant, look around you. If you want to be a 6 figure earner, get around others who already are. Perhaps you want to be a stronger speaker — connect with others who can level you up.
And, don’t neglect the last portion of that quote either — your circle includes yourself, so be the kind of person to others whom you would like them to be for you. Find teachable moments and share them – impact others.
Gratitude is Solution Driven
Adopting an attitude of gratitude takes you out of problem and toward a solution. It removes you from complaining mode and into aa solution driven mindset. This is a skill you need in your life and in your business decision making. This is especially important when in a leadership role. Demonstrating gratitude with others encourages people to feel comfortable in coming to you with things.
This sets a solid foundation of trust ..
Remember, ‘people will not always remember what you said but they will always remember how you made them feel’.
Count your Blessings
When you are feeling overwhelmed or are dealing with someone challenging, it’s difficult to remember the good experiences in our business and personal lives, right? Creating a shift in perspective and focusing on these good experiences will inspire you to communicate more effectively and in turn, more productive.
Counting your blessings means that you consider what is, rather than what isn’t.
